Our team is comprised of high integrity forest carbon scientists, economists, software developers, operators, designers and customer-facing roles. We are led by our CEO, Saif Bhatti, and Chief Science Officer, Elias Ayrey.
Saif Bhatti
CEO / Co-Founder

Saif is a data science specialist. Environmental monitoring and projects for 7 years, including international carbon footprints. Techstars Sustainability ’21.

Elias Ayrey, PhD
Chief Science Officer / Co-Founder

Elias is a remote sensing specialist with deep expertise in satellite imagery, LiDAR, and AI to assess forest carbon projects. Known for his YouTube channel simplifying complex carbon topics, he combines academic rigor with industry expertise. Elias holds a PhD and MS in Forest Resources (Remote Sensing) from the University of Maine.

María Fernanda Cornejo
Executive Assistant

Maria is motivated by organization and processes, and enthusiastic about Renoster's mission and vision. Political Science student, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Tristan Goodbody, PhD
Forest Carbon & Remote Sensing Scientist

Tristan enhances transparency in forest carbon projects using geospatial processing and develops Python packages for remote sensing data. With a PhD in Forest Management from the University of British Columbia, Tristan’s collaborations span government, industry, and academia, focusing on high-impact science.

Paul Hacker, PhD
Forest Carbon Scientist

Paul has experience in both raster and point-cloud remote sensing, and applies his skills to evaluate and monitor the integrity forest carbon projects. He received a PhD in Forestry and a Master of Geomatics for Environmental Management from the University of British Columbia.

Mateus Mendes
Forest Carbon Scientist

Mateus specializes in geospatial data and machine learning to estimate forest dynamics. Previously an NbS rating analyst at Sylvera and leader in digital MRV for Delta Blue Carbon, he's committed to using data analysis to highlight forest ecosystem value. Mateus holds MS degrees in Forestry Engineering from the University of Lleida and Sustainable Forest Management from the University of Tuscia.

Jack Kilbride, PhD
Remote Sensing Scientist

Jack focuses on forest structure, land cover, and ecosystem dynamics through remote sensing technologies. His work merges computer vision with forest science, utilizing machine learning to enhance forest ecosystem understanding. Jack earned a PhD in Geography from Oregon State University and an MS in Forest Management from the University of Maine.

Mary Ignatiadis
Forest Economics & Policy Expert

Mary has held former roles at Native, PBC, and Manulife, and brings deep experience in carbon project development and natural capital management. Her expertise covers climate-smart forest products and economic drivers of forest land use. Mary holds an MS in Forest Policy & Economics from the University of Maine.

Akshata Karnik
Geo-spatial Data Science Intern

Akshata is an ecologist and geo-spatial data scientist with 6 years of field experience in wildlife research. She is focused on generating a carbon project database using GIS. Akshata is a U Michigan alum From Mumbai, India.

Jeremy Casebeer
Account Executive

Jeremy is customer-focused and skilled at building relationships, driving revenue, and creative brand marketing. From California, based in Rio de Janeiro.

Kaleo Fernandez
Account Executive

Kaleo is a customer-driven sales professional and startup enthusiast focused on climate solutions. Passionate about solving the world's hardest problems for the world's largest organizations. From scoping and launching new products to stewarding key customer wins, Kaleo gets joy from working with small-but-mighty teams with outsized impact. He also likes to surf and play pickup soccer. Based in Honolulu, Hawai’i.

David Valerio
Customer Lead

David brings a varied background in research, business development, and strategic partnerships to his role, driving success for clients. With experience at Validere and BCarbon, he developed GHG MRV tools and wrote protocols for certifying nature-based carbon removals. He holds an MS in Oceanography from Rice University.

Catherine Malcolm
Operations Lead

Catherine has a diverse background exploring the fields and intersections of environmental conservation, horticulture therapy, outdoor recreation, international education, and climate. She earned a Master's degree in Outdoor Adventure & Expedition Leadership from SOU. Catherine focuses on company operations, systems infrastructure, and scalability. Based in Oregon.

Product Design Lead

John is a product designer with a background in Geography/GIS and Data Visualization. Based in NYC.

Weronika Gajda
Data Science Intern

Weronika is a data scientist with backgrounds in forestry, AI, and environmental modeling, passionate about sustainability and environmental protection. Based in the Netherlands.
